Role Description
We are looking for an experienced Inside Sales Team Lead to join our team and help drive our continued success. This position provides the chance to work closely with our inside sales team, collaborate with suppliers, and interact with customers to uphold the highest standards of service and product quality. This is a full-time, on-site role based in Parsippany, NJ. Responsibilities include leading the inside sales team, generating leads, delivering exceptional customer service, and effectively managing daily team operations.
Job Responsibilities:
- Lead, coach, and develop the inside sales team to ensure they meet or exceed sales targets.
- Identify training needs and facilitate continuous professional development for the sales team.
- Performance Monitoring & Reporting
- Track and analyze key sales metrics (e.g., calls made, opportunities created, revenue generated) to ensure team members are on track.
- Prepare and present regular sales performance reports to the Sales Manager, providing insights on team performance, challenges, and opportunities.
- Implement corrective actions and performance improvement plans as needed.
- Help to develop strategies to retain key customers, ensuring high levels of satisfaction
- Sales Strategy Execution
- Collaborate with the Sales Manager to align the inside sales team’s activities with the overall sales strategy.
- Work with the team to share and refine sales strategies, ensuring they are applied effectively across the board.
- Sales process optimization: Continuously review and refine sales processes, identifying and implementing improvements to enhance efficiency and effectiveness.
- Customer Relationship Management
- Ensure high levels of customer satisfaction by overseeing the sales process, resolving issues, and maintaining long-term client relationships.
- Proactively address customer concerns and make sure any escalated issues are resolved in a timely manner.
- Collaborate with SM/take care of key accounts and Capex projects
- Ensure accurate and up-to-date data management within CRM tools and oversee the team's consistent usage of the system
- Collaboration Across Departments
- Goal Setting & Accountability
- Assisting the SM establishing clear, measurable goals for the inside sales team and ensure each team member is held accountable for reaching them.
- Provide clear direction on expectations and ensure consistent follow-through on tasks and responsibilities.
- Work with the team to ensure aware of any incentive programs and are motivated to achieve them.
- Onboarding
- Assist in onboarding new inside sales team members, ensuring they are well-integrated into the team and equipped for success.
- Stay updated on industry trends and sales techniques, sharing knowledge and best practices with the team.
Qualifications
Proven experience as a successful sales manager, preferably in an on-site office environment.
- Demonstrated ability to lead and motivate to achieve sales targets and drive revenue growth.
- Strong interpersonal and communication skills, with the ability to build and maintain relationships with clients and team members.
- Strategic thinking and analytical skills to identify sales opportunities and drive effective sales strategies.
- Self-motivated and results-orientated
- Excellent negotiation and closing skills, with a focus on exceptional customer service.
- Must have knowledge of metric system and foreign currency conversions
- Must be multi-tasking and able to prioritize,
- Must be proficient with computer and OFFICE package, in particular OUTLOOK and EXCEL,
- Proficient with CRM tools such as SAP or SALESFORCE
- Willingness to travel occasionally for tradeshows, customer visits, or other business needs
